Frontside Events are the instigators. We're the ones to blame. When your voice is hoarse from cheering. When you've had to sleep it off and missed your meeting. Frontside Events develops, stages and produces those events. For the last seven years Frontside Events (founded by skate park designer Chad Ford and Bashful’s Simon Bookalil and Emil Vrisakis) has been bringing you Bowl-A-Rama, the premiere skating event in the Southern Hemisphere. You want in? We're happy to help. Thank us later.

Wellington City Council is the local government authority covering Wellington City and, as well as delivering high-quality infrastructure and community services, maintaining facilities and parks and keeping the city internationally competitive, is responsible for supporting amazing events in what the Lonely Planet travel guide calls "the coolest little capital in the world". One of the highlights of our packed events calendar is the Summer City festival, which has been running for over 30 years and is much-loved by Wellingtonians and visitors alike. As well as putting on a range of free gigs, festival days and sporting events all over the city, we always look forward to hosting the nation’s – and the world’s – best skateboarders as they slip, slide, grind and ollie their way around the bowl in beautiful harbourside Waitangi Park.
